The Bateman Foundation
Founded by Order of Canada recipient Robert Bateman, and located in Victoria, British Columbia, the Bateman Foundation seeks to instill in all of us a close relationship with nature through the lens of art.
Through nature-inspired programs, community collaborations and fine art exhibits at the Gallery of Nature, the non-profit organization inspires deep connections between us and our natural world. Here, you have a chance to see the largest collection of rare and original works by Robert Bateman, along with a rotation of exhibits by featured artists who share Bateman’s passion for nature.
Our partnership with the Bateman Foundation allows us to offer you free admission to The Gallery of Nature, which is also the starting and end point for all our Ecotours. We are also pleased to offer Bateman Foundation Members a 10% discount on all bookings. Please have your membership number ready when you book.
Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific
Founded in 1974, Pearson College United World College (UWC) is a two-year pre-university school located on Southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia. One of 18 UWCs located worldwide, Pearson hosts up to 200 students from around the world who come here to live, study and learn what it truly means to live by the UWC Mission: “To make education and force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.”
Nestled between sea and rainforest on the shores of Pedder Bay, Pearson opens its doors to Ecosphere guests to experience a grey whale skeleton up close, and enjoy lunch in this magnificent setting.
The Victoria Foundation
The Victoria Foundation brings donors and local charitable organizations together to support people, projects and initiatives that make our community stronger and improve quality of life. Each year, the Foundation provides funding to hundreds of initiatives, both large and small, in five key areas:
• Arts, Culture and Heritage
• Community Services
• Health and Recreation
Our partnership with The Victoria Foundation allows us to have a greater impact on the preservation of our wild spaces. For every ticket sold, we donate 2.5% to help fund projects and initiatives that have the greatest impact on protecting our ecosystem for generations to come.
